3D model of recycling plant

3D factory model.jpg

Creating a model of a recycling center using 3D printing is a big challenge. You have to respect the proportions, redraw each section and work from the original plans which include more than 30,000 sub-drawings. However, thanks to 3D printing technology and our expertise at Lezar3D, it is possible to meet this challenge and create a realistic model. We are ready to take on the challenge to help you visualize. We understand the value of your project. Here is a brief summary of this journey of several months.

Simplifying a simple building for 3D printing may seem easy, but it can be quite complex. To get walls thick enough for strength, it's important to balance it with lightness for transportation. This is particularly important if the building is part of a model, such as model number 1 which represents the land. It is therefore crucial to take these factors into account to obtain an optimal result.

The information transmitted to us is the basis of our work. The more dimensions there are, the simplification and if a 3D exists of the building it is a step ahead.

Converting a 2D drawing to a 3D drawing for a complex building with multiple sections requires extensive knowledge of 3D modeling. 3D modeling software such as Sketch Up, Fusion 360 and other AutoCAD products can be used to convert 2D drawings into 3D drawings. Nothing happens automatically in a case like this. For a complex building, it is important to understand how to use modeling tools to create detailed and accurate sections. It is also crucial to find the right depths and dimensions to bring the 3D model to life. With expertise in 3D modeling, converting 2D drawings to 3D drawings for a complex building can be successfully carried out by our team.

The mechanical and interior section of the model is equipped with more than 30 conveyors, motors, exchangers and specialized machines. To optimize our work, we decided to reposition this equipment so that it is more efficient. The original drawings were several gigs of memories. From these multiple drawings and a 2D overview we were able to simplify the drawings and recreate the interior to make the new factory easier to understand.
